The mission of Twelfth Step House is to provide safe, stable housing where individuals have the opportunity to rebuild, heal, and move forward. We believe housing creates the foundation for growth and that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Through trauma-informed and people-centered practices, we meet individuals where they are and create an environment grounded in structure, belonging, and accountability. We recognize that meaningful change takes time and often begins with connection, consistency, and feeling part of a community.
Twelfth Step House partners with our 16 residents as they strengthen life skills, build healthy relationships, and work toward greater stability, wellness, and purpose. We remain committed to creating a supportive community where individuals can discover their strengths, define their own goals, and continue building the future they want for themselves.
We provide more than a bed - our home offers stability, structure, and shared responsibility that support healing. Residents participate in house meetings, individual sessions, contribute to the care of shared spaces, and an environment that promotes rest, safety, and routine. These shared expectations foster accountability, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging within the home.
Connection sits at the center of healing. We create a living environment that encourages participation, shared experiences, and mutual support. Relationships among our 16 residents help foster accountability, belonging, and opportunities for growth while allowing each person to engage in community life at their own pace.
Our aim is to support stability, well-being, and a meaningful life beyond the house. We provide a supportive environment where residents can build skills, confidence, and momentum at their own pace, with encouragement and guidance available in areas such as:
Assisting with appointment scheduling and follow-through for medical and wellness needs
Supporting whole-person wellness through individualized and person-centered care
Exploring employment opportunities, developing resumes, and strengthening job readiness skills
Building financial skills through budgeting, planning, saving, and developing healthy money habits
Strengthening daily living skills and routines that support long-term stability
Connecting individuals with community resources and supportive services
Encouraging personal goal setting and celebrating progress along the way
Supporting the development of healthy relationships, communication, and social connection
Promoting increased confidence, self-advocacy, and personal responsibility
We recognize that each person’s path looks different. Our role is not to define success for residents, but to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities as individuals work toward goals that are meaningful to them.
